Fashion jobs & retail jobs – looking for a bright future in the Western economies

If you are a student and wondering what to do with your lives? Then perhaps you should consider a career in retail or in fashion. Retail jobs offers will always have demand, as everyone shops right? And no matter what the economy looks like, it is still a jobs sector of the economy that is always going to offer jobs and provide employment – as I always say, if there is a market economy, there is going to be retail which means jobs for people. With the western world being 1st world there is no denying that they have money to spend on frivolities and make fashion a necessity in today’s living. Surely this means jobs in fashion and jobs in retail are going to be okay in these economies? The rest of the world are catching up to see that everyone wants a piece of the action. Just look at China – their demand for fashionable items is growing by the second. So fashion jobs are going to go through the roof with the demand for tailored fashionable items continue to grow. These ex-communist countries are have long given up the ideal of wearing monolithic clothing and textiles. The human by design, want to be different, stand out and show individualism.

I think the point about the emerging markets makes for another strong point – different cultures and tastes. People from the east have styles, cultures and fashions to what they have in the West. Nothing to smart there, but the my point is this. Is if big fashion houses from the West are going to want to conquer eastern markets, then they are going to need to cater for the fashion needs of those countries. I there think that the fashion houses are going to have to cater for these divergent markets which can only mean that more fashion jobs are going to be created for western fashion businesses. As the UK is fashion and retail hub, it follows that the UK should benefit from more fashion jobs and retail jobs opportunist coming through as they try accommodate a global market permeated by different tastes and cultures. Anyway, there are lots of jobs sites out therefore people to test my theory on and go look for fashion jobs or retail jobs as much as they like. They all pay pretty well, and the best thing is that there are graduate entry level jobs for grads to get into. I suppose retail is easier to break into that fashion, so perhaps a fashion retailer is the way for those seeking jobs in fashion.
